Loyalty and Redemption Step 3 of 4

Halfway through. You're really getting to know Ruth.

Keep walking in faith.

And Boaz answered and said unto her, It hath fully been shewed me, all that thou hast done unto thy mother in law since the death of thine husband: and how thou hast left thy father and thy mother, and the land of thy nativity, and art come unto a people which thou knewest not heretofore. The LORD recompense thy work, and a full reward be given thee of the LORD God of Israel, under whose wings thou art come to trust. Ruth 2:11-12 (KJV)

Boaz noticed Ruth. Not her beauty first, but her character — her loyalty to Naomi, her willingness to leave everything familiar. His blessing reveals the deepest truth of Ruth's story: she had come to take refuge "under the wings" of the God of Israel. Ruth was a Moabite foreigner, but God doesn't count outsiders the way people do.

Boaz saw Ruth's character before anything else. What kind of reputation is your daily faithfulness building, even when you think no one is watching?

If someone described your character to a stranger, what would they say?

Today, act with kindness toward someone you're not obligated to help. Let your character speak louder than your words.
