Loyalty and Redemption Step 1 of 4
And Ruth said, Intreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God: Where thou diest, will I die, and there will I be buried: the LORD do so to me, and more also, if ought but death part thee and me. Ruth 1:16-17 (KJV)

Naomi had lost everything — her husband, both sons, her hope. She told her daughters-in-law to go home, to find new husbands, to build new lives. Orpah kissed her goodbye. But Ruth clung to her. Ruth's declaration is one of the most beautiful commitments in all of scripture — choosing loyalty over security, an uncertain future over a safe past.

Ruth chose an uncertain future with Naomi over a safe return home. When have you chosen loyalty to someone even when it cost you comfort or security?

Is there someone in your life who needs you to stay when it would be easier to leave?

Today, reach out to someone who is going through a hard season. Don't offer solutions — just be present. Sometimes showing up is the most powerful thing you can do.
