From Pit to Palace Step 1 of 4
And Joseph dreamed a dream, and he told it his brethren: and they hated him yet the more. And he said unto them, Hear, I pray you, this dream which I have dreamed: For, behold, we were binding sheaves in the field, and, lo, my sheaf arose, and also stood upright; and, behold, your sheaves stood round about, and made obeisance to my sheaf. And his brethren said to him, Shalt thou indeed reign over us? or shalt thou indeed have dominion over us? And they hated him yet the more for his dreams, and for his words. Genesis 37:5-11 (KJV)

Joseph was seventeen, the favored son with a coat of many colors and God-given dreams. His brothers' jealousy simmered. The dreams were real — but the path to their fulfillment would go through a pit, a slave market, and a prison cell before it reached a palace.

Joseph's God-given dreams made him a target for jealousy. Have you ever held back from sharing what God put in your heart because you feared others' reactions?

What dream or calling have you been carrying quietly because sharing it felt risky?

Write down one dream God has placed in your heart. Don't share it with anyone today — just acknowledge it between you and God.
